On Thursday 17th October 2006, We had our first round of the concern debate pitted against Blackrock, College. The Motion was; 2global commitments to the environment a load of hot-air" The Pres. Team (Fiachra Fallon Verbruggen, Alan Farrell, Garret Dunne, and Myself) Were opposing the motion, We put forward the argument that there are many groups doing many things is many areas to help our environment and if this case how can global commitment to the environment, but in many cases they failed to give examples of commitments that are not being adhered to. despite initial confusion when the adjudicator announced that The, "Motion for the proposition has been defeated" we were soon delighted to find out that we had won many thanks to all our supporters on the night and to Mr. Gorman and Ms. Gallagher for all their Help.
